What are the steps to implement stormwater management?

1. Assess the site

We review drainage patterns, soils, slopes, existing infrastructure, and downstream constraints. Photos, plans, and a walk-through help us pinpoint problem areas and opportunities.

2. Select the solution set

Based on flows and goals, we recommend a combination such as vegetated swales, stabilized banks, forebay upgrades, outlet protection, or erosion control on disturbed soils. If you already have an engineer’s plan, we build to spec.

3. Prepare the area

Grade for positive flow, remove debris, install geotextiles or anchoring where needed, and protect adjacent pavement and turf so the work zone stays tidy.

4. Install and stabilize

Place soils and aggregates, construct swales or rain gardens, install SOX or similar shoreline systems where appropriate, apply hydroseed or compost and seed, and secure inlets and outlets.

5. Establish and maintain

Provide watering and establishment guidance, set inspection intervals, and plan seasonal touch ups so performance remains consistent. Simple maintenance keeps vegetation dense and inlets clear.
